Previously, INSEE projections for France in general by age and sex were used. Since beginning of 2024 INSEE publishes projection data by departement, age, and sex. This allows us to generate projection scenarios that are much more specific per department. On top, the functionality has been generalized so that it is now easy to select the "projection scenario" from INSEE via configuration:
